The Garden Design Program is based at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Melbourne Gardens, in partnership with Europe's leading garden design college. Over four semesters, you'll gain the skills to become a professional landscape designer, with classes starting each March.

Delivered through a blended learning model, the program combines in-person classes, site visits, design studios and live online lectures. Students participate in real time from Melbourne and across Australia and New Zealand.

Modern Horticulture
Online Course >

Modern Horticulture is a 15-week live online program created for anyone who wants to understand plants more deeply and the role they play in the landscapes around us.

From plant science, soils and propagation to biodiversity, sustainability, urban horticulture and planting design, the course brings together the knowledge that underpins contemporary horticulture in one comprehensive program.

No previous horticultural experience is required. Just curiosity about plants and a desire to understand them better.

Based at Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Melbourne Gardens, our program is delivered through a blended learning model, combining in-person classes and site visits with live online lectures, workshops and studio sessions.

This approach allows students to learn from some of the profession's most respected practitioners, regardless of where they are based, while still benefiting from the unique learning opportunities offered by the Royal Botanic Gardens and other landscape visits throughout the program.

Students can participate either in person or online from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
