Student life at LCGD Melbourne
Ever wondered what its like to study with us over 4 semesters? When you undertake our two-year Garden Design Program, you can expect:
The choice of two ways to study with us: either from the comfort of your own home (just like @janegilpingardens, pictured with LCGD Melbourne Director Brent Reid) or, in-person at our classroom, located in the grounds of @royalbotanicgardensvic Melbourne Gardens.
Regardless of which option you choose, you will be able to attend special student trips and events in person (such as our recent trips to Cranbourne Gardens and @paulbangay‘s Stonefields).
A regular classroom schedule of two days per week, covering topics such as visual communication, CAD, planting design, construction design, and business skills.
Supportive lecturers who are themselves practicing Garden Designers.
Small classroom sizes to ensure you get the support and attention you need.
Guest lectures from renowned and respected industry professionals, both Australian and international, are woven into our curriculum, (including Graham Ross, Steve Taylor of Cos Design, Teena Crawford, Bethany Williamson and many more).
You will be encouraged and supported in participating in industry events and competitions, such as the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.
You will graduate after two years with the skills and industry connections needed to forge a successful career in our thriving industry.
